My client a major engineering consultancy, currently have a requirement for a planner in their Oil & Gas team based in their Shetland office. The Planner will be working within the client�s project delivery team, interfacing with client�s contractors, sub-contractors and other consultants providing planning expertise within a client environment. They will on the client�s behalf verify and validate the data within the contractor�s submitted programmes principally using Primavera P6. The planner will be required to interrogate contractor�s programmes to ensure the programmes represent the scope of works require by the client and the sequence and schedule of works is logical and achievable within the constraints of the agreed contract. The planner will be required to authorise baseline and progress programmes on behalf of the client; verifying that the various project schedules are integrated and representative of activities required to complete the delivery of projects within a portfolio of work from initial conception through to delivery and close out. Close liaison with the project team will be required to produce periodic reports based on the contractor�s progress submissions. In the event of claims made against the client for extension of time and compensation, the planner will be required to investigate the claims using recognised delay analysis methodology, this will also require contractual knowledge to interpret the contract clauses accurately.

Power system analysis studies play a key role - as part of new systems design, or upgrades. The services in power systems design and network modelling include - Concept design and options engineering for power systems, System modelling and performance assessment for design confirmation, and Control and protection options to optimise system performance and reliability. The office based Systems Analysis and Network Planning section provides consulting expertise in all aspects of network modeling covering subjects such as load flow, fault level, harmonics, transients etc. As part of this role, the successful candidate will undertake assignments covering the analysis of existing and proposed networks applied to a variety of offshore, industrial and utility projects for clients based in the UK and abroad.

CANDIDATE * Previous, proven experience in a similar site management role. * CSCS / CPCS tickets ESSENTIAL. * Confined spaces ticket preferred. * Good communication and man management skills. You must be prepared to travel to sites throughout North and Mid Wales and be experienced in all aspects of setting out in a supervisory role on construction projects. In addition you must be able to use Total Stations and CAD software.
