One of our leading clients has a long term opportunity for a Document Controller based in Manchester. This will initially be a long term contract position, but there may be the option to go permanent if this would be of interest in the future. You will be based in the offices in Piccadilly Square on an hourly rate of £18 - £20 per hour. Please see the job details below: Skills, Qualifications & Experience Essential The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate some or all of the following: 1. Degree or equivalent experience 2. Significant experience in document control 3. Good understanding of document management processes in a highly regulated environment 4. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint 5. Experience of the legal, regulatory, security and nuclear regulations for managing documents 6. Technical experience/knowledge of systems, safety, and environmental standards 7. Basic understanding of UK nuclear legislative and regulatory requirements Desirable       9. Knowledge of Nuclear Sector 10. Experience of working in a high hazard environment   Key Competencies including Nuclear 1. Ability to achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard clearance 2. A thorough knowledge of document management processes in a highly regulated environment: nuclear preferred 3. Excellent communication skills within an organisation (multi-cultural), with internal customers and external suppliers 4.   5. Ability to make sound, rational decisions, even when under pressure or when dealing with conflicting priorities 6. High level of commitment and results oriented (self-motivator, drive, and determination) 7. Able to work within a high performing team and have the ability to take the initiative, work effectively and efficiently and show resilience 8. Excellent planning and organisational skills     Principal Accountabilities 1. Providing key stakeholders, both internal and external, with accurate, quality and reliable documentation by controlling the additions and modifications of internal and external documents and records. Facilitate the generation and maintenance of Document Registers and Transmittal Records as appropriate 2. Provide a proactive and supportive approach for the creation, transmittal, research, and retrieval of documents for the client, including distribution of incoming documents and the progressing/tracking of responses to these documents 3. Managing the accuracy of metadata   4. Training and coaching support to the clients employees in use of the document management system and supporting process and procedures 5. Continuous optimisation of our processes and methods, maintaining regular contacts with the directors, managers, and supervisory staff and ensuring long-term cooperation with external partners 6. Contribute to the delivery of the Key Performance Indicators (KPI), operational objectives that lead to improved quality and efficiency of both the organisation and the system 7.   8. To support the Document Systems Manager with the implementation testing of new document management technology as and when required 9.
