We are continually looking for professionals who like working with state-of-the-art technology and have the vision to help build tomorrow’s infrastructure. Our Plant Department is currently seeking experienced technical superintendents who will be based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and occasionally spend shorter or longer periods of time abroad.
The job:
As a technical superintendent, you will prepare, supervise and guide dockings/repair jobs and provide day-to-day technical supervision for our state-of-the-art equipment. You will draw up final reports (both technical and financial), advise on necessary technical improvements, help the crew in solving technical problems on board and monitor the logistics of purchase orders.
Do you have an MSc or BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering or Shipbuilding or equivalent and at least five years of work experience? Do you like to work independently and do you function well in a hectic environment with sometimes conflicting interests? Are you a keen negotiator? Are you well organised, pragmatic, service-minded, cost aware and capable of supervising more than one vessel at a time? And last but not least: are you fluent in English and willing to move to the Netherlands? If you are, we encourage you to apply.
